Robert Thiele, AIA, LEED AP
 Robert Thiele is an architect, a contractor and a LEED Accredited Professional exploring for 35 years the possibilities of sustainable design. A graduate of Arizona State University in 1971, Robert set out on a path working with local sculptor, James Hubbell, with visionary architect, Paolo Soleri, father of sustainable design, and with the environmental artist Cristo on the Umbrellas project. Robert Thiele Associates is a residential/commercial design collaborative practice that has designed earth forms, underground structures, and are now exploring green roof case studies with existing and historic structures. As a native of La jolla, Robert Thiele has taken on the design of green infrastructure along one mile of Torrey Pines Road from Prospect Place to La Jolla Shores Drive using green roof principals in the bioswale median design.
